healthy “Bianco” Fish, from Corfu with love

Ok, one of my top favorites Greek dishes is this tasty dish from the Ionian island of Corfu.

Don’t be afraid to mix together garlic with fish. Enjoy.

1 krg. Cod If the fish is too big, we cut into two pieces so it can fit into the casserole.

Juice of 1 lemon

4-5 garlic cloves

4-5 medium

We boil some water (Bianco is NOT a soup) in a casserole. We add the lemon juice,

the 4-5 garlic cloves, the potatoes and the salt.

We boil for approximately 15minutes until the potatoes start to soften.

We add the fish and we slow boil another 20 minutes.

Don’t stir the mix, just gently swing around the casserole, so that the fish isn’t ruinned.

We add a lot of black pepper (app. 1 teaspoon), a zest of lemon and it’s ready to serve.

If you wish, instead of cod you could use the Spanish Mackerel. The taste is similar and it costs around 4-5 dollars per kilo, in the US.

If you accompany it with some toasted thick bread, it will be unforgettable.
